And seeing Bears and Whales on your bucket list?
Add in waterfalls, mountain tops, a walk with a Hawk and some of the most beautiful viewpoints in the world and you’ve got a once-in-a-lifetime trip.
Starting at 8am in Victoria or Nanaimo will determine what Day 1 will look like.

Hawk Walk – Take a stroll with a trained hawk on your arm https://the-raptors.com/
Cathedral Grove – Walk the loop around the Giant 800-year-old Trees of the Ancient Rainforest
Courtenay Museum – Quick stop at this awesome local paleontology museum and a local pint across the street.
Nanaimo
North Island Wildlife Rehabilitation Sanctuary – Meet the residents of this amazing center like Rae the Black Bear, Cassie the Bald Eagle and Opal the White Raven.
Cathedral Grove – Walk the loop around the Giant 800-year-old Trees of the Ancient Rainforest
Courtenay Museum – Quick stop at this awesome local paleontology museum and a local pint across the street.
We will then reach our oceanfront resort, where we will be staying for the next few nights.
Day 2 will be spent driving down the beautiful Buttle Lake at the Center of Strathcona Park. Surrounded by distant peaks, this will make you feel transported to the Alps. Featuring stunning Elk Falls and Myra Falls, this is a very scenic trip. Add an optional paddle on the lake or an afternoon 3h ocean kayaking session.
Day 3 will be spent on the water and on the ancestral land of the Homalco and Klahoose First Nation. They will take us onto their land, and even if Grizzly Bears are seasonal (spring and fall), the wildlife from the water is always impressive. Humpback, Bears on the shore, Orcas, Otters, and many animals call these waters home.
Day 4 is when our journey ends. After a slower morning, your guide will take you back to Nanaimo for a Hullo Ferry ride back to Vancouver. You can also upgrade this to a float plane ride for one last highlight!
This trip includes all activity tickets, meals and transportation.
Note that you must be in a mobile physical shape for this tour, as some of the hikes are on uneven, steep or slippery terrain.
