Pacific Marine Circle Route, a once-in-a-lifetime Island Adventure
Pick up at 8 am from anywhere in Victoria, then it’s off to Port Renfrew for some invigorating hikes and tide pool exploration at Botanical Beach.
We’ll also make a stop at the awe-inspiring Jurassic Grove.
After a 20 minute hike, you will witness 1000-year-old Western Red Cedars in true wilderness and old growth Rainforest!
Then it’s off to the beach.
One of the most popular beaches on Vancouver Island. Mystic Beach boasts a beautiful Waterfall falling off Sandstone cliffs into the ocean over a sandy beach.
One last stop for the day and a lot of people’s favorite; Botanical Beach. Lots of opportunity for tide pool exploration, tons of wildlife sighting opportunity and a good hike.
We will be heading to the village of Port Renfrew for dinner and a good night’s sleep before continuing on the next day. After breakfast, we’ll take a scenic drive along the Pacific Marine Road. Through forests and mountains, alongside rivers and over canyons we go.
We will stop to marvel at the stunning views of Harris Creek. We will pay a visit to the 1000-year-old Harris Creek Spruce, which spans an impressive 4 meters wide.
After getting back on the highway past Duncan it’s South back to Victoria, or North up to Nanaimo.
Journeying South, your guide will take you to marvel at the views of the Malahat Skywalk. This amazing treetop walk will slowly take you up the tower. Standing 250 meters above the sea you get a 360-degree view of the Salish Sea.
Moving on, we will stop for a complimentary lunch and proceed to our last stop, Goldstream Park. This park offers amazing opportunities to view the salmon migration in the fall. A beautiful 20 meters tall waterfall flow in a canyon all year round!
Going North will take you first to the majestic Old Growth Rainforest path of Cathedral Grove.
After our saunthering we will visit French Press Coffee Roasters for our amazing lunch and have it by the lake.
Once we are fed and relaxed it will be up to Little Qualicum Falls to impress. With it’s double cascade and year round loud flow, this one is sure to make an impression.
For our last stop we will visit the animals of the North Island Wildlife Recovery Center. Meet Rae the Black Bear, Opal the White Raven, Casey the Bald Eagle and many more.
After all these, your guide will take you back to Victoria, Nanaimo, or strait to the ferry if you wish to return to Vancouver on the same day.
This trip includes all activity tickets, meals and transportation.
Note that you must be in good physical shape for this tour, as some of the hikes are on uneven, steep or slippery terrain.
