If you’re looking to explore Vancouver Island’s wild west coast without the hustle and bustle of Tofino, consider visiting Port Renfrew. This tour is our most demanding itinerary so ensure you are comfortable with windy roads, uneven paths, shallow river crossing, cobble beaches and short steep hikes. If this is a concern, we might be able to accommodate you on a modified itinerary. Consider our West Coast Big Tree Adventure if this does not seem suitable. https://fareharbor.com/embeds/book/talesontrails/items/479934/?full-items=yes&flow=999273 Once we pick you up, we’ll take a scenic drive along the Pacific Marine Road. We will stop first at an amazing local cafe to pick up some coffee and morning treat, and our complimentary lunch. Then, it’s off to Port Renfrew for some invigorating hikes and tide pool exploration at Botanical Beach. We’ll also make a stop at the awe-inspiring Jurassic Grove. There, you can witness 1000-year-old Western Red Cedars on a hidden gem of a trail, rarely visited. Before returning to the city, we’ll take a 30 beach hike to see one of the Island’s most photographed sites: Sombrio Falls. The falls are tucked away in a short slot canyon on the beach. This tour can also be extended to an overnight camping trip with an amazing ocean view cabin ! Check our Victoria-Port Renfrew-Duncan Pacific Circle Marine route itinerary!
